According to PACER, the case “Students for Fair Admissions v. United States Military Academy at West Point et al” is settled as of 8/12/25.

This was anticipated after Secretary of War Hegseth released his memo on MSA admissions, but took a while to come to pass.

The settlement contains significant language on the agreement to drop racial considerations from admissions. In essence the service academies agree not to let Admissions staff see racial or ethnic information on candidate applications. Whether they actually do this is and how it is verified is a question for another time.
